    Are you planning a visit to Quebec City? Walking the streets of Old Quebec City is a must! Our Tourist Scavenger Hunt takes you from the Chateau Frontenac to the Civilization Museum, up Parliament Hill and every attraction in between them. You will have to solve challenges at every step to discover your next destination. As well, you will learn a little history and other interesting facts such as the best restaurants along the way.
    It takes 2-3 hours to complete. Do it whenever you wish - you select your own date and start time, no scheduling or reservation needed. 20+ challenges, games, and enigmas to solve as you walk through this historic neighborhood.

    This French navigator, cartographer, and explorer founded Quebec in 1608. Will you correctly identify the sculptor of this monument-

    Stop At: Terrasse Dufferin, 2, rue d'Auteuil / D'Auteuil street, 2 chateau Frontenac, Quebec City, Quebec G1R 5C2 Canada

    Large wooden boardwalk outside the Château Champlain overlooking the St.Lawrence River and Petit Champlain neighborhood.

    This little park across the street from the Samuel de Champlain Monument and Château Frontenac used to be a drill square when this area was a fort. An archeology challenge awaits you here.

    Stop At: Lieu Historique National des Forts-et-Chateaux-Saint-Louis, Terrasse Dufferin, Quebec City, Quebec G1R 4P5 Canada

    Underneath Place d'Armes and Terraces Dufferin are the archeological remains of the Fort and Castle Saint-Louis dating back to 1620.

    Stop At: Funiculaire du Vieux-Québec, 16 Rue du Petit Champlain, Québec, QC G1K 4H4, Canada

    This is the quick way down to the Petit Champlain historic neighborhood. However, your scavenger hunt will take you down the long way as there is much to see.

    This museum is all about the Fort and Castle Saint-Louis.

    Stop At: Lieu Historique National du Canada du Parc-Montmorency, Rue Port-Dauphin/Rue Cote de la Montagne, Quebec City, Quebec G1K 4E2 Canada

    This small park is full of statues and overlooks the St. Lawrence River. It's been a cemetery, a military site, and a place of religious and civil power.

    One of the six gates that have guarded the fortified city of Quebec over the years. You will have an observational challenge here.

    This little and historic district is at the foot of Chateau Frontenac and near the St.Lawrence river.

    Stop At: Royal Battery, 4 Rue St-Pierre 46°48'45.74n, 71°12'7.62w, Quebec City, Quebec G1K 4H5 Canada

    Emplacement of a former battery which defended the city from the British. There's a historical challenge here.

    This little square honors King Louis XIV. Around you are numerous historic buildings.

    This church from 1688 is the oldest in North America. It also features in a scene near the end of Catch Me if You Can (2002)

    This giant wall mural relates 400 years of history with most key figures in the province of Quebec's history. Your challenge here will be to identify a particular person on the mural with the help of the signs around you.

    This boutique hotel stands over the ruins of the initial port of Quebec. You can see some of the structure on our scavenger hunt route, as well as the water line at a few different years in Quebec's history.

    This large museum in Quebec's lower town (basse-ville) presents diverse exhibits from the First Nations to modern Quebec. Your challenge here will have you looking at the street signs.

    This is one of Quebec City's best bistros.

    You'll find here a large art structure honoring the birthplace (here) of the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization in 1945.

    This building was erected to house various exhibits and functions, initially to celebrate Quebec's 400th birthday in 2008. The challenge here will see if you've been paying attention.

    One of Quebec city's oldest public markets

    This is a large park with a few art installations that will serve for a few challenges.

    Quebec's city's train and bus station was built in the Chateau style, like Chateau Frontenac.

    This very large hospital was founded in 1639 and is the oldest in the Americas.
    You'll have a math challenge to solve here.

    Stop At: De l'Artillerie Park, 2 Rue d'Auteuil, Québec, QC G1R 5C2, Canada

    This small park was originally part of Quebec city's fortification. It now has a large Celtic Cross donated by Ireland in recognition to Quebec welcoming many Irish children during the famine.

    Walk on the top of the remaining Quebec city Fortification and over 2 gates.

    This gate was built in 1693 and rebuilt many times over the years.

    This cabaret/theatre was recently completely renovated and usually presents long-duration acts.

    Large open space between 2 theatres, next to the Porte Saint-Jean

    This "palais" is a large music venue and concert hall.

    From atop this gate, you'll begin to see the National Assembly building and a few more monuments.

    Stop At: St. Louis Gate (Porte St. Louis), Rue Saint Louis, Quebec City, Quebec G1R 3Z7 Canada

    This is the last gate you will see on this scavenger hunt. Through it, you can go see the National Assembly. The Challenge here involves Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt

    This fountain in the front of the National Assembly is seen from the fortifications and was installed to commemorate Quebec city's 400th anniversary.

    This is the Province of Quebec's government which you can see from the Fortifications at the Kent Gate and Saint-Louis Gate.

    Stop At: Pole Culturel du Monastere des Ursulines, 12 Donnaconna St., Quebec City, Quebec G1R 3Y7 Canada

    Here you'll see the Ursulines school, chapel, and museum, as well as learn about this order of nuns.

    Duration: 5 minutes

    Stop At: Place de l'Hotel de Ville, rue des Jardins/rue de Buade, Quebec City, Quebec Canada

    Here you'll see Quebec's City Hall and a few monuments. Your challenge here pertains to Quebec City's flag.

    Stop At: Basilique Cathedrale - Notre-Dame-de-Quebec, 16 rue Buade, Quebec City, Quebec G1R 4A1 Canada

    This is the seat of the Quebec archdiocese and contiguous to the Quebec Seminary.
