We had a wonderful day. They picked us up at our apartment door, on time. There were only 12 of us. Our guide Eugenia was knowledgeable, extremely considerate and friendly, spoke excellent English, knew when to talk and when to stop on our 1.5 hour drive to San Antonio de Areco. We had a nice visit in this very quaint village: the silversmith, the church, the park. We then drove to the estancia where we were greeted with drinks and delicious empanadas. Then we went horseback riding for 30 minutes. This was followed by lunch in the garden of this very stately estate, the food was plentiful ( 3 different salads and seven or eight servings of different meats, choice of 2 desserts) and delicious with your choice of drinks. They then put on a show of folkloric dances and songs. There were “real” gauchos actually working on this farm.
We had a quiet return to our front door. The tour was 9 hours in total and Eugenia made it a wonderful experience that we highly recommend.

Food was good and the entertainment was pretty, and interactive. Staff was very hospitable. The stop into town was also worth it. Just do it!

We were part of s small group led by tour guide Enrique. He was a very friendly and knoiwledgeable tour guide. Stopped in a small village before ranch. Had a great time with the horse ride, great food and show - specially Horse Whisper. Enrique was very informative about the ranch but also talked about life in BsAs, which made the tour all the better.

The tour was well organised and fun we were blessed with amazing weather . The ride was lovely but there could have been given more help for less confident riders in the group. But every thing was fantastic. Food and wine and entertainment wonderful.

I had amazing time during the whole trip. The tourist guide, the Frenchman, is very knowlegeble and pleasant and gave us extensive information on gaucho history and life. I felt cared the whole time. We were welcomed by the owner of the farm and his family. Btw their empanadas are the best we had in Buenos Aires! They also accommodated special requests and they really didnt have to.The Parillada was abundant and delicious. Thank you all for making this experience so wonderful!

Superb tour , from start to finish. Very well organised, amazing guide, such a warm and friendly atmosphere. Ranch is a working ranch and they limit numbers to ensure a more personal experience. Food excellent. Horse whisperer not to be missed!!! To summarise, probably the best tour we have ever been on.

The tour guide is very professional. There are only 3 of us in the group and we really feel like a Private Tour. The tour guide explained a lot of knowledge with regards to Argentina Gaucho such as the history, traditions, culture as well as their sport called “Pato”. The estancia is really good. The people are very welcoming, friendly and warm. The BBQ meats is great. The horseback riding is fantastic. This is the best Day Tour in our whole journey in South America.

We had a wonderful time in San Antonio de Areco in las pampas last week. We were greeted promptly by Pablo in the lobby of the hotel. He was professional and polite. We had a great drive and stopped in a quaint little town. I even was able to try Mate during the rest break! The ranch looked great and the family was very welcoming. The parilla was great; one of the most memorable meals I’ve ever had. The horse back ride was so enjoyable. I am a first time rider and they made me feel very comfortable. It is one of the things I cant stopped taking about! It was an absolutely perfect day!!

Our tour guide arrived on time. He was very attentive and knowledgeable and spoke English very well.
On the way to the rancho he explained the different areas with some historical and factual comments.
San Antonio de Areco is a charming town and we visited the museum that has a local silver shop.
Once at the rancho we rode on horse back, shared time with the gauchos (lovely people) learned about their customs and have fun and danced with them.
The asado was one of the best meals we had in our trip of more than two weeks.
Don't miss out, foreigners and locals alike should go at least once.

The excursion started with a resident pick up, comfortable van drive to San Antonio del Areco, a small rustic town with authentic flavor, a trip to Estancia El Ombu, a working ranch with horses for riding, lovely lawn and setting for a delicious parrilla meal with various meats, salads and appetizers. Wonderful flowing wine and drinks. Traditional guitar music and dancing plus a remarkable demonstration with a horse whisperer finished up with the visit before the comfortable ride home. My family, ages 70 to 8 years of age, all loved this day on a working, authentic estancia. The horse ride was out into the pampas and you felt like you were miles and miles away in the heart of Argentina

The day started with a driver picking me up at my hotel at the appointed time. The bus was spacious enough and air-conditioned. our tour guide, Pablo gave us a concise history lesson about the evolution of the Gauchos. I was happy to have learned something valuable about culture and history of Argentina. Pablo was very entertaining throughout the two hour ride to the ranch. Upon reaching the ranch, we were welcomed with tastey empanadas and a `drink of out choice. 0The ranch is spacious, by American standards. I was able to relax and get to meet the other tourists. Then, I fitted to a horse my size and went for a horse ride of at least thirty minutes. Afterwards, a majestic lunch was served of the meats cooked for us that day at the ranch. Pablo made sure that each one his guests were taken care of. After lunch, we had dessert and a 45 minute Guacho show, which included our participation in dance. The day was amazing, restfull, and fun. It was the high-light of my trip.

Tour guide Marcello was excellent. Very informative, helpful, and personable (fit in with all 5 tour patrons). Missed out on gauchos demonstration but understand the weather condition was the reason they could not perform. 4 wheel drive through the mud to get to the estancia almost made up for it with the excitement of slipping and sliding through the mud.

We really loved our trip to Gaucho Ranch. We had a fantastic guide - Paublo, who made the trip, with his informative, relaxed style. Kids enjoyed the horse ride and the food was delicious. Though it was wet in the morning, the 'muddy', bumpy, 4wd drive road to the ranch was a highlight for our kids! The entertainment after lunch with gaucho dancing, guitar playing and the horse whisperer made it a memorable trip! Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful full day tour with Pablo to Estancia El Ombu de Areco. Pick up was on time and friendly. Pablo provided an excellent narrative on Buenos Aires and Argentina on the trip there. We arrived and were treated to some empanadas and a short tour of the "kitchen" where the meat was being prepared for our lunch later in the day. We then were "loaded" up on our horses (carriage rides provided for those not wishing to ride a horse) and left with a group of about 50 others to ride around the ranch. The horses were all gentle and calm. The staff helped everyone get up on the horse and be ready to go. It was fun watching the ranch's dog herding the horses and cows when necessary. Once back we were seated for our asado lunch. A feast of meats were brought to us continually to go along with some excellent salads and unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks. Once lunch was done we were treated to a show of local dancers (including a young 2 year old who made the show). The ride back to the hotel was certainly quiet and as we all had a snooze. All in all a great day and well worth the money - it's not cheap to do these things but you'll enjoy it.
