Through the beautiful Livathos villages our next stop is the Monastery of St. Andreas.Some of the best views of the island and of neighbouring island Zante can be seen from the traditional village of Katsro and the Venetian Castle of St. George ( Optional).Koutavos Lagoon, our next stop, lies at the head of Argostoli Bay and is a nature reserve for wildlife.Next roam the pedestrian Lithostroro street at the most historical side of this, the Bell Tower square and make your own story of flavors inspired by the traditional kefalonian tsoureki, mandolas, biscuits and many other desserts at the oldest bakery in the town, the homemade ice cream, the aroma of the Greek coffee in some of the most stylish café in the town

Stop At: Sinkholes of Argostoli, Argostoli, Argostolion 281 00 Greece

Photo stop at the water wheel and sump holes where the water enters from the sea and then works its way through the island before then appearing at Melissani Lake 14 days later. Then a short drive to the iconic lighthouse for photos.

Stop At: St George's Castle, Livathou, Peratata Greece

Visit the Kastro village. Explore this traditional village with it's cobbled streets and the medieval church of Evangelistria built in 1420. Entrance into St George's castle is optional and is an additional cost

Stop At: KOUTAVOS LAGOON ARGOSTOLI, Argostoli 281 00, Greece

Photo stop at the natural lagoon with it's various birds and the native loggerhead turtles. Views of the Drapano bridge.

Stop At: Lighthouse of Saint Theodoroi, Argostolion Greece

The lighthouse of Saint Theodoroi in Argostoli Kefalonia: The lighthouse of Saint Theodoroi lies on a man-made peninsula close to Argostoli village, the capital of the island. It is a circular structure with 20 columns and its tower is 8 m tall. The building has a rather simple and Doric architectural style, while its focal plane is 11 m. It was originally built in 1828 by the British administrator Charles Napier, who ruled the island that time.

Stop At: Monastery of Agios Andreas, Peratata 28100 Greece

The monastery named after Apostle Andrew was founded during the Byzantine era but was reestablished in 1579 when Apostle Andrew started a small nunnery at this place. It was then privately owned by three spiritual sisters, Benedict, Leondia, and Magdalen.

Stop At: Kampana Square, Drakopoulou 280 11, Argostolion Greece

Kambana Square is the historic town centre of Argostoli. It was here that the Venetian Libro d’oro (“Golden Book” listing the island’s nobility) was burned, ushering in a new age without titles and distinctions. The square’s present name is derived from its imposing bell tower, whose clock once set the pace of life for the town’s inhabitants. Following the 1953 earthquake, the square was rebuilt several times before finally being raised to the level of the surrounding pedestrian streets
