During this private guided tour you will discover two enchanting towns located on the Adriatic coast, but offering different views.
Polignano is perched on a cliff overlooking the sea offering unforgettable panorama.
Monopoli, the unique city, has a medieval old town where many historical and artistic monuments are set.
Delicious treats will be reserved to you during the tour: a special coffe from Polignano (or an artisanal gelato), and a slice of focaccia barese (or a fried/baked panzerotto).

This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Centro Storico di Polignano a Mare, Polignano a Mare Italy

The guided tour will start at Marchesale Arch, we'lladmire part of the city walls and Marchesale Palace, residence of the Lords of Polignano.
Stop in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele where the Clock Tower and the Main Church stand out.

We'll explore the alleys of the old town and enjoy the breathtaking views of Lama Monachile bay and the coastline from the panoramic balconies.
Walking along Piazza San Benedetto and Via Muraglia, and getting out from the historic centre we'll pass nearby the Traiana Road, and cross the Bourbon Bridge, which offers an exclusive landscape of the marina.
The tour will finish at Domenico Modugno Promenade, where the statue in honour of the famous singer is placed, known all over the world for the song “Nel blu dipinto di blu – Volare”.
At the end of the tour it will be offered the famous special coffee from Polignano, prepared with almond liqueur, cream and lemon zest, or a delicious artisanal gelato.

The tour will be operated by Valeria or Mario tour guides.

Stop At: Centro Storico di Monopoli, 70043, Monopoli Italy

We'll meet at the Church of San Francesco d'Assisi in Largo Plebiscito Square, then we’ll walk through Via Garibaldi, the ancient Merchants street, and reach Piazza Garibaldi, a place soaked in history that has preserved remains of different ages.

We’ll continue to the Carlo V Castle, that is part of the Spanish system of fortification and located within one of the oldest areas of Monopoli old town.
We’ll admire the massive bastions walking along the waterfront promenade and have a fantastic view of the Porta Vecchia and the 16th century city walls.
Then we will visit the Cathedral with its Baroque decorations, built on a preexisting Romanesque church, that is connected with the the legend of Madonna della Madia icon’s landing.

Walking along some typical alleys in the historical centre, we’ll finally arrive to Vittorio Emanuele square, which is the heart of the modern part of Monopoli.

At the end of the tour a fried or baked panzerotto or a slice of Barese focaccia will be offered.
