For many of us the 2014 'Euromaidan' revolution that took place in Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, conjures up memories of police riots, firey scenes, protesters en mass and unknown shooters. We know only what we saw on T.V of the events that took place in those streets that let to the overthrow of the Ukrainian government and its president, Viktor Yanukovych.
Dive into the historic events of Kyiv's recent history with this self-guided GPS audio walking tour. The route will trace the events of the 'Euromaidan' revolution where your guide, Alan Turgutoglu, lived for several months. He wants to share his personal experience of how the revolution looked and along the way he will show you where you can still find some of the marks and memorials left by those events.
