Stop At: The Marble Mountains, Hoa Hai, Ngu Hanh Son, Da Nang 550000 Vietnam

Marble Mountains (Vietnamese: Ngũ Hành Sơn; lit. "five elements mountains") is a cluster of five marble and limestone hills located in Ngũ Hành Sơn District, south of Da Nang city in Vietnam. The five mountains are named after the five elements: Kim (metal), Thuy (water), Moc (wood), Hoa (fire) and Tho (earth).

All of the mountains have cave entrances and numerous tunnels, and it is possible to climb to the summit of Mount Thuy. Several Buddhist sanctuaries can also be found within the mountains, making this a tourist destination.

The area is known for stone sculpture making and stone-cutting crafts. Direct rock extraction from the mountains was banned recently. Materials are now being transported from quarries in Quảng Nam Province.

Marble Mountains was officially given the National Special Relic certificate by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on January 20, 2019.[1]

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Son Tra Peninsula, Son Tra Peninsula, Da Nang

Sơn Trà Mountain (Vietnamese: Núi Sơn Trà), also known as Monkey Mountain, is a mountain and peninsula range located on Sơn Trà Peninsula, in Sơn Trà district, Đà Nẵng, Vietnam, overlooking the Bay of Da Nang and the East Sea. Đà Nẵng Port's Tiên Sa Terminal is located at the base of the mountain's western face, as is nearby Tiên Sa Beach.

The site is notable as a natural reserve and tourism location to the nearby city. The site is a habitat for many endangered species notably the Red-shanked douc langur, with over 60% of the species located on the mountain range.[3] In 1977 the site was designated a nationally protected forest following the takeover of the site by the newly unified government.[3] Currently, the site is undergoing significant and in many cases illegal development, with plots of land illegally being transferred to developers by local governments for constructing hotels and venues.
