PRIVATE TOUR -Knossos Palace-Zeus Cave-Old Traditional Villages

This tour gives you the opportunity to visit the most visited archeological site in Crete Knossos Palace and then go away to explore the countryside , Lasithi Plateau the biggest one in Crete located at an altitude around 900 m above the sea level, visit old traditional villages where time seems to have stopped long ago , visit the Cave of Zeus where according to Greek Mythology Zeus was born there , visit the old wind mills an olive oil factory where we learn all about Cretan golden liquid and taste different kind of olive oil and of course later we enjoy a Cretan traditional lunch at a family restaurant up on the mountain.

( We pick you up from Heraklion port so it’s perfect if you are on a Cruise Ship, ( we don’t pick up from Chania , Ierapetra) .

Stop At: Knossos Archaeological Site, Knosos, Crete 714 09 Greece

We take you to Knossos archeological site then you explore it on your own or we can arrange for an official guide with extra charge.

Duration: 1 hour

Pass By: Gouves, Gouves, Crete

Pas by without stopping but could be a pick up location of your choice.

Stop At: Windmills Of Lasithi Plateau, Οροπεδίο Λασιθίου, Tzermiado, Crete 841 00 Greece

We will see the old wind mills that used to pump the water up from underground to water the crops, and the other wind mills that used to grain ,wheat and corn to make flour .

Duration: 1 hour

Pass By: Hersonissos 700 14, Greece

Pas by without stopping but it could be a pick up location.

Stop At: Aposelemis Dam, Chersonisos, Potamies, Crete 700 05 Greece

We stop up on the mountain to enjoy the view of the Aposelemi Dam .

Duration: 5 minutes

Stop At: Platanus Tree, Main Square, Krasi, Crete 700 05 Greece

We walk around the picturesque village of Krasi, take some photos of the oldest and biggest Platanus tree in Crete.

Duration: 25 minutes

Stop At: Dikteon Cave, Mount Dicte range in East Crete, Psichro, Crete 720 52 Greece

We visit the cave which according to Greek Mythology Zeus the God of the Gods was born here , it’s optional though …..

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Mochos, Mochos, Crete

We stop at the old village of Mochos to walk through the narrow streets , see the old churches and take a taste of the local way of life , probably have something to drink or enjoy some local food st a family restaurant at the villages main square .

Duration: 45 minutes

Pass By: Malia, Malia, Crete

Drive through the town but it could be also a pick up location.

Stop At: Heraklion, Heraklion, Crete

Driving through and around the city.

Duration: 10 minutes
