HABITAT:
Humboldt Current, and coastal waterways.
DESCRIPTION:
Length: 21 to 22 cms.
Similar to the Petrel (P. garnotii), but smaller. Semicollar also has a blank in front of the neck that comes close to the neck.
This species replaces the Petrel (P. garnotti) to the south-austral, found from Corral (Valdivia) to the Strait of Magellan and Cape Horn. Unlike its predecessor, which occasionally visit the coast, the Petrel Magellanic not only found at sea and channel area, but also you can find on the mainland.
